Breeding for the future is our aim |
We are very proud of our progeny - in our early days Roger and Joanna Day bred Primmores Pride using Sir Mark Todd and our own Mayhill here, and he went on to be one of the all time greats of eventing – winning amongst many other triumphs all three of the "big ones" – Badminton, Burghley and Lexington ****s, ensuring rider Pippa Funnell the Rolex Grand Slam. Gerry and David Mills bred Granntevka Prince using our Grannex here – he is still one of the top British event horses. |
In Show Jumping we are delighted with the form of Bintang and Brilexo, who we hope will follow in the footsteps of Promised Land, whose sire Gale Force was one of our first stallions to stand at Whorridge. Promised Land won the Hickstead Derby with Tina Fletcher in 2011 – more info on all of these stars can be found on our Stallion's own pages, or on Press Cuttings / Horses for Sale. |
Althea and Janou are riding some lovely young horses of our own breeding - Granite Lady took Janou to the World Championships for Young Horses in 2013 and Dasj was successful there in 2014 having won the Gold at the Dutch National Junior Championships earlier in the year. |
Nui's Caliari Kiko is another homebred as is Althea's Auriella - and of course Granntevka Prince is now Nui's star ride - together they added the Irish Junior Championships Gold to their records. |
We could not be more pleased with the quality of our current youngstock – they all show the class, movement and jump required for our modern sports. |
At the moment we are using No Limit here plus we have virtually any stallion you would want to use available with fresh/chilled and frozen semen. We particually enjoy working with our Dutch friends, De Radstake, De Watermolen and Team Nijof. |
Afternoon collection in Holland arrives 15 mins away from us the following morning at Exeter Airport! |
