KARANDASJ started his career with becoming Champion at the Performance test, with not only top jumping marks but eights for his basic paces. He jumped to International level as a 6 year old, winning and placed at Grand Prix level with Roelof Bril and then with owners' son Willem Greve - who started to ride him as a teenager. Together they won the silver medal at the Young Riders European Championships. His temperament and ability were an awesome combination!

KARANDASJ’s dam CORRIE is a keur-preferentmare and is dam of KAHLUA, winner of the SilverMedal in the Pan Am Games. CORRIE is the damof MILAN who competed successfully eventing inthe Aachen World Equestrian Games 2006.CORRIE is a full sister of the famous VOLVO’SDOLLAR GIRL. CORRIE’s sire IRCO POLO isrenowned himself and a son of another legendMARCO POLO.
With breeding like this it is no surprise thatKARANDASJ has already produced some superoffspring. He is the sire of the Burghley YoungEvent Horse Champion BURBIES BARBER, theIrish 5 year old Show Jumping Champion WHOPAYS THE BILL and the winner in Holland of theFFP breeders final POLIEN.

KARANDASJ stood at Whorridge in 2007 and wasenormously popular. Many top producers love hisoffspring - known not only for their ability but theirtemperament. Renowned judge Judy Bradwell hashad many and is one of'TheKarandasj' fans.Sadly KARANDASJ died of colic in 2008 – but thequality of his frozen semen is superb.
Eventing – many of Karandasj' offspring have been successful in young horse classes, and in 2010 Amy Hawley won the Aldon Open BE100 Three Day Event with his daughter ZEDEA. In 2011 Rosalind Canter rode APROBANTA (by KARANDASJ) into 2nd place at Le Lion d'Angers Young Horse World Championships. KARANDASJ is still one of the most popular sires of young event horses. The name KARANDASJ often appears in the sire box – we have DASJ ourselves, who in 2014 won the Gold at the Dutch Junior CCI* National Championships with Janou and went on to 15th place in the World Championships for Young Horses at Le Lion d'Angers. WALDOFF placed 6th in the CCI* with Rose Nesbitt at Weston Park Junior Championships in October 2014. Tim Price has a major superstar in WESKO - winner of Blair Castle CCI3* in 2013, and in both 2013 and 2014 2nd at Hartpury in the CIC3*. In 2014 they won both Tattersalls CCI3* and Luhmuhlen CCI4*
