Primmore’s Pioneer’s breeding has been called ‘The blue print’ for event horse breeding, he is fully approved with the AES Stud Book and the SHB(GB).

|
PRIMMORE’S PIONEER is graded Advanced himself in eventing. He won in his first year eventing in 2000, and again in 2001 and was 2nd in the Scarvagh Young Event Horse class. He was consistently placed at Intermediate level in 2002 and was 3rd Hartpury CCI*. In 2003 he won Lulworth Intermediate and was 15th at Bazoges-en-Pareds (France) CCI** ridden by Chris King. In 2004 following the death of his father MAYHILL the decision was made to retire PRIMMORE’S PIONEER from competition to be able to meet the demands of our clients and our mares.
PRIMMORE’S PIONEER’s sire MAYHILL should need no introduction - owner Mark Todd evented him to top level and he was reserve entry for the Hague World Games.
MAYHILL’s offspring are consistently in the frame eventing and show jumping to the highest level.
PRIMMORE’S PIONEER is out of PRIMMORE HILL, one of the best event mares competing in her day. She was 9th at Badminton in 1982 after a brilliant cross country round and subsequently short listed for the World Championships. Her sire was the legendary BEN FAERIE who is probably still the most successful eventing sire ever. His offspring were constantly in the frame in the 1980/1990’s – Ginny Leng (nee Holgate) partnered his two most famous sons, NIGHTCAP and PRICELESS notching up an incredible number of Badminton and Burghley wins, Olympic, World and European medals.

|
BEN FAERIE’s legacy lives on today as he features in many of todays stars breeding and has been a successful “damsire”. Brendon Hills proven stallion IT’S WITHOUT DOUBT is out of a BEN FAERIE mare, also dam of Olympic horse SCHIROUBLES.
PRIMMORE HILL’s most illustrious offspring is PRIMMORE’S PRIDE. Full brother to PRIMMORE’S PIONEER, PRIMMORE’S PRIDE (2 years his senior) in 2003 won both Lexington**** and Burghley****, giving rider Pippa Funnell two of the three wins needed to take the Rolex Grand Slam of $250,000.
PRIMMORE’S PRIDE’s career has been amazing, he won the Burghley Young Event Horse Final at 5, was 1st at Lion D’Angers CCI 2000 and 4th Punchestown 2000, 4th Blenheim 2001, 2nd Punchestown and 6th Burghley 2002, he also won the British National Championship at Gatcombe that year. PRIMMORE’S PRIDE returned home from the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 with a silver and bronze medal and in 2005 completed the **** hatrick by winning Badminton.
